“It scared me. I thought, ‘We just got rid of one marriage, why did we jump into another?’ It just scared me.”
Tish had previously married country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, but after nearly 30 years of marriage and three children, they broke up in 2022 – Miley, 32-year-old Braison, 32-year-old, Noah, 30 and 25-year-old.
Billy Ray also adopted Tish’s two children, her previous marriage, Brandi and Trace, 36.

After Tish shared that Miley was the most “encouraging” about her finding love after a split, Brandy commented: “I don’t think you like to accept Miley’s date advice, “before kidding, “I feel like you like to accept your own date advice” – although she does admit it’s her “in her marriage.”
