The shooting began on February 29, 2024, which is the date of Superman’s birthday in the comic book.
In a red carpet interview at the London premiere last week, Colenswet admitted he had contacted former superstars of the team, including Tyler Hoechlin and Henry Cavill, but said they did not make any suggestions.
“The interesting thing is that they both said in their own words, ‘I won’t try to give you any tips.’ type.
“And I think that’s a very superhuman thing. Superhuman isn’t about giving advice or deciding what others should do.
“They actually just conveyed to me a sense of encouragement and ‘a feeling of having fun’, which I think is what Superman does too.
“(But) they are very encouraging and we had a wonderful experience.
“I’m so happy to see them one day. It’s great when we can all get into the room together.”
