Heart failure will be listed as the actor’s cause of death, and heart disease and alcoholism are known as contributing factors.

On July 3, the actor was found unresponsive at his home in Malibu, California, after deputies responded to 911 calls that morning.
He was pronounced dead at 8:25 am local time. No suspicion of foul.
Although Madsen has been fighting alcoholism for many years, it is reported that several American media died suddenly and were sober.
The star’s representative issued a statement after his death: “In the past two years, Michael Madsen has done some incredible work with independent films, including upcoming feature films,” said the star. Madsen has more than 320 credits in his name on IMDB and also won 18 titles at the time of his death.

After the news, many of Madsen’s Hollywood counterparts and co-stars paid tribute to him.
Among them is his sister actress Virginia Madsen, who said she would “miss his boy before the legend.”

“My brother Michael left the stage,” the Candieman star wrote on Instagram.
“He is thunder and velvet. The prank is wrapped in tenderness. A poet disguised as a lawbreaker. Father, a son, a brother–engraved in contradiction, suppressed by love left behind.
“I will miss the jokes inside us, the sudden laughter, his voice. I will miss the boy he was before the legend; I miss my brother.”
Harvey Keitel, who starred in the Reservoir Dog with Madsen, mourned his “Dear Friend” with a concise and heartfelt statement.
“We lost another American poet. Say goodbye, my dear friend,” the 86-year-old screen legend told the New York Post.
Jason James Richter, a former child star who appeared with Willy, said the actor had a “deep” influence on him.

“I just heard about Michael’s death and I just wanted to send my deepest condolences to his family and all his fans,” Richter said in his Instagram story.
“Michael is a truly special soul, he has had a profound impact on me and I will miss him a lot.”
